Happy Birthday Milly

"Happy Birthday to you terrible too!"

I got back from Amsterdam last night just in time for my best friend Milly's Birthday. I stayed up most the night making her a birthday card then I got woken up this morning by her texting me wanting to have birthday breakfast, which was croissants and waffles. After breakfast we got dressed and hit the Bedminster Charity shops. I ended up getting loads of bargains in St Peter's Hospice. I discovered their amazing vintage section and went a bit crazy with my money which I don't have, least it's going to a good cause. I bought a bohemian style maxi dress for £4; I have been looking for one ever since I saw them in Urban Outfitter’s renewal section. I also bought a bright red sailor button jacket, a lace maxi dress that I am thinking of just wearing as a skirt rather then a dress and a pale pink sequence vest that I can't wait to wear on my next night out with a leather mini skirt.

After that shopping spree we went to the park near our house. Spring is here and I love all the flowers and blossom. It's so pretty.

Today I was safe with my outfit, dressing head to toe in black. I feel whenever I don't know what to wear I can never go wrong with the all black look.
The trousers I'm wearing were £2.50 in the River Island sale (I am a bargain hunter), the jumper is from my favourite boutique Olive which is in Cheltenham. The jumper originally had a skirt attached but I cut it off. My black coat was also a sale find in Zara and the shoes from Office. My hair was pinned up in plaits as I am trying not to straighten it so much, as its getting damaged by heat. The necklace I'm wearing represents my birth element that is air which means Communication; socialisation  conceptualisation, apparently.

Anyway I hope Milly enjoyed her day, by mid afternoon I left her with her boyfriend as I had to go to work. There will also be an Amsterdam post to follow, I just haven't had the chance to sort through my photos yet!

Those are the mittens I bought her, she's always pitching my gloves. Milly's blog
