Harvey Nichols SS13 Fashion Show

"I need to start saving so I can afford some of these fabulous spring/summer clothes!"

Last night I was invited to the Harvey Nichols, Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Show in Bristol's very own Museum and Art Gallery. I wore a £1 bargain tweed jacket which I managed to find in a charity shop along with a velvet shirt again I picked up from a charity shop, black rolled up jeans and school girl shoes from Office. At this event I also managed to meet other South West Bloggers which I was excited about.

To begin with I must say what a beautiful venue it was for showing of Harvey Nichols new designer collections. The trends included white out, colour pop, metallic, monochrome, mixed prints and fantasy frocks. I find it very hard to choose my favourite must have look for this spring summer, however if I had to choose it would have to be a mixed print suit. The green MSGM jacket and skirt instantly caught my eye, oh how I wish I could afford it, maybe one day...

Continuing on with the trends, I found the white out look very chic, it can make anyone look and feel elegant this spring/summer. Furthermore the colour pop look will definitely influence me as I am not one to wear bright bold colours. However after seeing it on the Harvey Nichols catwalk I won't hesitate to introduce this look into my wardrobe, especially the neon, statement party dresses. Another trend I will take from the catwalk is the monochrome, my favourite look being the white silk pattern under black sheer maxi dress from Acne.

To sum up the show I would say it was a breath of fresh air and I can't wait for the next one!
